Love Your Pet Day

Did you know that there’s a special pet holiday coming up? February 20th is Love Your Pet Day! Our animal companions are much more than just furry little roommates: they are friends, companions, cuddle buddies, and unofficial family members, who keep us smiling even on the worst days. Read on as a Cameron Park, CA vet offers some great ways to spoil your pet on this cute holiday.

Treats

Treats are a great way to brighten up your pet’s day. Fido and Fluffy can enjoy some plain, cooked meat, without the skin, bones, or fat. Dogs and cats may also like a can of tuna, deli meat, or some sodium-free broth. If you have a bunny, Guinea pig, or another small pet, you may be able to give your furball some fruits or berries. Birds may enjoy another treat, such as safe fruits or veggies. Just be sure to only offer your pet safe, suitable foods. Ask your vet for specific nutritional advice.

Toys

Making sure that your furry pal is getting enough entertainment and stimulation is very important! Pick up a few new toys for your pet, and take time to play with them. Time spent with animals is never wasted!

New Digs

Could your kitty use a new pet tent or cat condo? Does Fido need a doghouse? Spoil your furry buddy by getting them a new hidey-hole! If you have a smaller pet, like a bird or bunny, consider getting them a bigger, better cage!

Veterinary Care

While visiting us may not be your animal friend’s favorite thing to do, our animal companions are much healthier—and therefore happier—with proper veterinary care. Schedule your pet’s next appointment today!

Grooming

Just like people, pets look—and feel—best when they are clean and well-groomed. All of our animal friends have their own grooming needs. Dogs, cats, and bunnies may benefit from good brushings and baths. If you have a bird, give Polly a birdbath.

Take Some Photos

Snap some adorable photos of your little (or not so little) buddy. Try a serene black and white photo of your pet looking out a window, or snap a cute pick of your animal pal snoozing or playing. Edit, print, and frame your favorites.

Please call us, your Cameron Park, CA vet hospital, for all of your pet’s veterinary care needs. We are here to help!
