Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day

One thing our feline friends are known for is being very curious. In fact, there’s a specific day dedicated to kitty curiosity. January 22nd is Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! A Cameron Park, CA vet talks about Fluffy’s most pressing questions below.

Why Did You Disturb My Nap?

Cats certainly spend a lot of time sleeping. However, most of the time, Fluffy isn’t sound asleep at all. She’s usually still listening to what’s going on around her. That’s why if you call your pet’s name when she’s napping, she may flick her tail or move her ears in response. Her Furry Majesty will still be annoyed if you move her mid-nap, though.

What’s In There?

Your nosy feline pal will happily snoop through any closets or cupboards you leave open, and will investigate any boxes or bags you bring home. In fact, Fluffy’s curious nature is one reason she has those cute whiskers. They help her figure out whether she can fit through a small space or not. (Note: this doesn’t always work out very well for fat cats.)

Where Did My Toys Go?

Toys are very important to Fluffy’s health and well-being. They keep her active, offer her beneficial mental stimulation, allow her to burn off excess energy in a fun way, and prevent kitty boredom. You’d think our feline friends would stop pushing their playthings under beds and couches!

Can I Sleep On That?

Kitties are always on the prowl for new napping spots. Even if Fluffy has several cozy beds, she’ll still spend plenty of time snoozing on your bed, couch, chair, floor, and, well, anywhere else that looks remotely comfortable. Any time you take out a new blanket, put a load of fresh laundry into the basket, or get a new piece of furniture, your opportunistic little furball will immediately want to find out how comfortable it is.

What’s Wrong With The Dog?

Our canine pals just don’t make much sense to Fluffy. After all, Fido hates baths, won’t use a litterbox, and actually enjoys car rides. Most perplexing of all is the fact that dogs actually do what they’re told! None of this makes any sense to our feline overlords.

That may cover Fluffy’s questions, but what about yours? Please contact us, your local Cameron Park, CA vet clinic, with any questions or concerns about your cat’s health or care.
