Celebrating Two Years of Paws on the Block
We love supporting organizations in our community that are making a real difference for animals, and Paws on the Block is a wonderful example.
This Wednesday, September 16, Paws on the Block is celebrating two years of their unique foster dog program, which connects shelter dogs with incarcerated individuals at Folsom State Prison. The program gives shelter pups a second chance while creating meaningful opportunities for the people caring for them.
And for our Hospital Manager, this organization has a very personal connection. Her own dog, Toby, came through the Paws on the Block program! What started as one dog's second chance became a very special addition to her family. Toby is a wonderful reminder of the difference programs like this can make, not just for the dogs they help, but for the families who get to love them.
To celebrate two years of second chances, Paws on the Block is hosting an anniversary evening at Brickyard Counter & Bar in El Dorado Hills from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event will include a silent auction, raffle, music, fun for kids, and an opportunity to meet the people and pups behind the program.
Veterinary Healing Center is proud to support Paws on the Block by donating a gift certificate to their fundraiser. We hope you’ll consider stopping by, enjoying an evening out, and supporting an organization that is giving dogs and people a chance at a brighter future.
Come celebrate with them!
