Holly Cahoon, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Holly Cahoon has been a firsthand witness to the power of veterinary medicine ever since she was very young—Dr. Brad Cahoon is her father. For her, building relationships with the area’s pet owners and their loveable companions is a dream come true! She’s worked here at the clinic ever since she was 16 years old, and Dr. Cahoon is proud to now serve as an Associate Veterinarian with the Veterinary Healing Center of El Dorado Hills team.
Dr. Cahoon began her animal-care journey as a Kennel Assistant here at the hospital, and she also worked for other hospitals in the area to gain crucial hands-on experience. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis—exploring front-desk reception and Veterinary Technician roles here at the clinic during her studies—before continuing on to the University’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Cahoon became a practicing veterinarian in June of 2018, and has been helping the area’s pet owners and animal companions here at the hospital ever since. She’s especially passionate about pain management, and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and experience in not only medication and rehabilitation, but in areas like dietary supplements, acupuncture, nutrition, herbal formulations, and more.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Cahoon enjoys exercising, practicing Pilates and yoga, relaxing with a favorite Netflix or television show, and cheering on her favorite football and basketball teams.
